Sync is end-to-end encrypted. Your devices lock your data before it leaves them, and only your linked devices hold the key.

- We store only what sync needs: device names and encrypted data we can't open, plus crash reports to fix bugs.
Think of it as a locked box: we carry it between your devices, but only your devices have the key. Lose every device and we can't recover your data — you'd simply add your playlist again.

Questions
Does the app include channels?
No. Sofalo is a player and comes with no channels, playlists or content of any kind. You add your own M3U playlist or Xtream login from a service you already use. We don't sell, recommend or link to any content provider.
Is it legal?
The app is a video player, like any media player on your computer. What you play with it is up to you: only use playlists and streams you have the right to watch. Using Sofalo to access unauthorized content is against our Terms.
What do I need to get started?
A playlist link (M3U) or Xtream login details from your provider, and optionally a TV guide (EPG) link. Install Sofalo on your phone, add the playlist, then scan the QR code shown on your TV.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Android phones, Android TV / Google TV, Fire TV, Windows and Mac.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up or email. Devices link to each other by scanning a QR code, and your data syncs end-to-end encrypted.
Can you see my playlist or what I watch?
No. Sync data is encrypted on your device before it's sent, and only your linked devices hold the key. Our server stores it but can't read it. See our Privacy Policy.
Does one Premium purchase really cover every device?
Yes. Household Premium removes ads on every device linked together — buy it once on any of them. Choose CA$14.99 once, or CA$4.99 per year.
Will there be ads during videos?
Never. On the free version, ads appear only on browse screens, never while video is playing.
A stream won't play. What can I do?
Streams come from your provider, not from us, so first check the link works elsewhere. If other streams play fine, the issue is most likely with that source. You can still contact [email protected] about app problems.
